Status GP - Company Profile

Status Grand Prix is one the UK’s fastest-emerging motorsport companies, committed to sporting and commercial excellence.

The team won the 2009 A1GP World Cup of Motorsport with its A1 Team Ireland entry, a success that led into its 2010 entry into the new GP3 Series, the formula run by Bernie Ecclestone and Bruno Michel to identify Formula One™ stars of the future.

Founded in 2005 by Mark Gallagher and Mark Kershaw, Status Grand Prix’s four seasons in the global A1GP series for 600hp cars established its reputation for excellence. Hand-picked personnel with F1 experience established Status GP’s commitment to an engineering advantage, driver enhancement and award-winning presentation that give real value to a driver and their partners.

In addition to its success with A1 Team Ireland, Status GP utilised its engineering expertise to score race victories with A1 Team Canada and A1 Team Netherlands, beating cars run by established top-line international teams such as Super Nova, DAMS and Andretti Green Racing.

Now one of the 10 elite teams awarded a GP3 Series entry, Status GP’s new project prompted a move to a new 7000sq ft team facility in Silverstone. The team is committed to capitalising on this platform and setting Status GP on a path of long-term success, guiding its drivers to more championships and utilising its network of heavyweight Formula One™ contacts to fast-track their careers to the top.
